It is a tribute to the successful and passionately lived life of the founder who had the idea of planting the Petit Verdot grape variety in close collaboration with a French winemaker. With the Addis and Tregge vineyards, covering a total area of about 2 hectares, he had found the ideal plots to enhance the peculiar characteristics of Petit Verdot: abundant fruit, spice, tannin, acidity, and complexity. With the Gian Annibale wine, the only grandson and current director of the estate, Vittorio Piozzo di Rosignano, and winemaker Carlo Ferrini have succeeded in realizing Gian Annibale's vision: to create a new, extraordinary blend with Petit Verdot as the main grape variety. Married to Cabernet Sauvignon, this exceptional wine presents a fragrant and spicy bouquet, with currants and blueberries in the foreground and a hint of black pepper. On the palate, it is enveloped by an elegant yet dense texture, accompanied by a spicy note reminiscent of tobacco, dark and juicy berries, and refined, silky tannins.
