Humagne Rouge AOC
- Origin: Switzerland - Valais
- Type: Red Wine
- Grape Variety: Humagne
- Aging:
-
Tasting Notes:
The name Humagne Rouge first appeared around 1900. Today, it is known that the grape variety is identical to Cornalin from Aosta Valley. When young, it is wild and sometimes angular, but it mellows with age.
The nose is intense, with notes of strawberry jam and lilac. On the palate, it is direct and harmonious, with the same fruity and floral aromatics perceived on the nose. The tannins are finely polished, soft, and well-integrated, while the ripe fruit offers substance and extract. In the long finish, further spicy notes emerge and an attractive, slightly bitter note that gives tension to the wine.
