Heida AOC
- Origin: Switzerland - Valais
- Type: White Wine
- Grape Variety: Savagnin
- Aging: Steel
-
Tasting Notes:
Heida means "ancient, past" in the Upper Valais dialect. The grape variety originates from the French Jura and has been present in Valais since the Middle Ages.
The wine needs a few minutes to open up. Typically spicy aroma of aromatic herbs, with notes of licorice and apple peel. On the palate, it is superb, with a dense, savory, and finely balanced extract, a refreshing bitter note of orange peel masterfully integrated, citrusy and herbaceous hints again with thyme.
