Petite Arvine AOC
- Origin: Switzerland - Valais
- Type: White Wine
- Grape Variety: Petite Arvine
- Aging: Steel
-
Tasting Notes:
Petite Arvine, the quintessential indigenous grape variety of Valais, was first mentioned in a document from 1602. Long forgotten, it is now considered the pearl of Valais white wines and is highly prized.
On the palate, it is incredibly powerful and extraordinarily smooth — top-quality grapes were used. The wine progressively develops more juiciness and intensity, with notes of nectarine and apricot; then the famous salinity of Petite Arvine comes into play, reining in the exuberant fruit and keeping the wine fresh and lively. A classy wine with great persistence and much potential.
