Schabernack Beerenauslese sweet
- Origin: Germany - Pfalz
- Type: Sweet Wine
- Grape varieties: Gewürztraminer, Scheurebe
- Aging: The grapes are harvested at full ripeness, partly raisined, hand-selected, and picked with a remarkable sugar content of 135 Oechsle degrees. Subsequently, the grapes are fermented in a new tonneau (500-liter oak barrel)
- Tasting notes: Very lean and fresh, yet at the same time persistent and lasting. The aroma recalls notes of white nougat, physalis, coconut brittle, licorice, and especially bitter orange. Schabernack plays a trick on you: on one hand fresh, light, graceful, on the other complex, intense, expressive — but then, what is it? Schabernack lives up to its name.
